We believe entrepreneurship empowers communities, through our experiences as a Muslim female entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, our aims to empower females with entrepreneurial skills.
The Sistrv8 Story
Sistrv8 was founded by Sam Haouchar and Aisha Dani, born out of the frustration experienced by Muslim females who have additional barriers to establishing, scaling up and investing their entrepreneurial endeavours.
Islamically compliant financing is a very important aspect of investing when Muslims are considering funding options, however all too often, financial literacy is low or females are excluded from the conversation.
Sam has extensive intrapreneurial experiences in large organisations innovating across the supply chains as well as working with emerging migrant / refugees’ entrepreneurs through the Cultov8 program.
She is the eternal student with undergraduate studies in Psychology and Social Research, post graduate studies in Supply Chain Management, Masters of Business Administration and currently undertaking graduate studies in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and getting involved in Blockchain.
Aisha Dani is a serial entrepreneur, educator and startup coach. She has expertise in lean startup methodology, design thinking and marketing. She is an engineer (RMIT alumnus) with post-graduate studies from University of Sydney, currently exploring a PhD in the topic of startups.
She is interested in applying innovative startup methodologies to solve some of societies’ most intractable problems. Aisha recently completed the Lean Launchpad Educator’s program in San Jose, California 2015. She also contributed to the Victorian Government sponsored startup workshop to help build a better startup ecosystem in Victoria which has now morphed into #LaunchVic.
